It all started in a warehouse in the suburbs of Chicago.
We met when we were in our 20s,
both working for a children’s book publisher in Lincolnwood, Illinois.
Gina worked in art, Bridget worked in editorial.
By day, we would make cover comps, edit manuscripts, and carry proofs
up and down the hallways for sign off before shipping out to print.
But at lunch, we would dream (and scarf free samples at Whole Foods.)
All these years later, the desire to be creative without anyone else’s permission
inspired us to found Chum Bucket Press.
A place to be weird, a place to make art, a place to be chums.
If you like holding beautiful books in your hands, we think you’ll like it here.
